Carlo Point Boat Ramp
Located 1 min from Gardiner fisheries, the Carlo Point boat ramp offers good access to the Great Sandy Straits. With plenty of depth on all tides for all sized trailer boats and a large roomy parking area for cars and trailers. It’s a great safe launching area with a large pontoon for easy boat retrieval and boarding.

Bullock Point Boat Ramp
Located 10 min north towards Inskip point Bullock Point Ramp offers great deep water access to the Great Sandy Straights suitable to all size trailer boats at all tides. Good ramp with easy boarding and retrieval via large pontoon. Bullock point offers the closest access to the wide bay bar. Minimal parking compared to Carlo Point.

Vehicle and Camping Permits
Vehicle access permits are required for all vehicles entering the island. Camping Permits are also required in advance for camping.

You can also call our office on 07 5486 3935 and we will organise your permits & barge tickets and post them directly to you.
Barge Timetable
The Manta Ray Fraser Island barge service operates two barges daily from 6.00 am to 5.15 pm (last barge to Fraser is at 5:00 pm, last barge off Fraser is at 5:15 pm). The trip to Fraser Island takes approximately 10 minutes, this service runs back and forth all day approx every 30 minutes, please call the office to make a booking. During peak periods the barge may start earlier and finish later. If you have any questions please give us a call.
